Technologies hold on humanity

Lets face it, how would half of the world survive without technology? We have gotten used to it and it has made us soft. If we don't have access to it then how will we be able to live our days? I mean if I didn't have access to my videogames I would make life as difficult a trying to get away from drug addiction. But think about all the people who practically LIVE on certain machines. I can't see a person who spends all their time on facebook and then suddenly having it taken away would come out of it sane.

  1. well you take a look at third world countires and how they struggle to do simple basic things such as getting food and water, compared to people that just turn a tap? put simply, we wouldn't be able to live.People are so dependant on technology to complete the simplest of things, we would fall on our faces without technology.

    1. Nonsense! Things would be very inconvenient but in the whole history of even just our recorded history, electricity has been around for less than 0.5% of the time... and if it goes again, we will still carry on. Technology allows us to hide, make threats and not face the consequences. It's like the idiots who yell things out of cars or get angry at other drivers. Would they do that if they didn't have the car to 'hide' behind? Would they do it if they were walking? No!

  4. well.. if think about this guys...if third world countries can survive without such technology then surely we can too!!! Tehnoclogy has brought new crimes into countries...internet banking for example; is it really safe? Without such technology, we would have less crime! Tehnology steals time, takes away from families...teens these days are constantly on facebook or texting; where is the old fashioned conversation go to????

    1. Well third world countries havent had access to the technology to be able to have it become part of life. Could you go 10 days without Facebook? It might be possible but thats just you, whereas some other people may be unable to go that long.

    3. but just imagine if every single luxury was taken away from you, would you be able to cope? First world problems i admit, but we've been so engulfed in technology, something as simple as tv or a stove, that we wouldn't know what to do without it.

And who says that they're surviving? there are COUNTLESS organisations and charities struggling to get enough food and supplies to keep these millions of people alive. And with that they transport, get the money and food, supplies and what not using technology! that's not what I call surviving.. w/o technology all third world countried would be in even worse strife.

    1. In theory you could consider the wheel a piece of technology. Anything created by humans is a bit of technology, its just these days technology means stuff connected to electricity. So technically if you wanted to give up all technology...you would be living outside with nothing to keep you safe or alive exept for natural foods and sticks if you get attacked.

  6. And with that technically I have reached a conclusion. If humans were to give up ALL technology they would probably not survive very long, mostly from illness because they cannot access medical technoligies including medicine and hospitals.
